Update on COVID-19 meal delivery service for undergraduates
Dean of Students Mona Hicks and Vaden Health Services Executive Director Jim Jacobs announce the sunset of university-funded deliveries.
Dear undergraduate students,
We are writing today with an important update on how students who test positive for COVID-19 will obtain meals. We would like to thank everyone who responsibly requested meal delivery resources in good faith over the past several years. With COVID-19 conditions improving at Stanford and more generally in Santa Clara County and the nation, we are adjusting our protocols accordingly. Please read the following carefully. This information will also be provided on our COVID-19 Guidance for Students website.
Students who test positive from today through March 26, 2023
Follow the procedure outlined here to report your COVID-19 positive test. In return, you will receive information regarding UberEats meal delivery, which will be provided for five days (the day you test positive, plus the following four days).
CDC guidelines state that all individuals who test positive for COVID-19 mask around others through day 10 of COVID-19. For days 5 to 10 of isolation, we ask that you wear a K95 mask, pick up your meals from your dining hall, and then return to your room or eat outdoors, physically distant from others. K95 masks are available at no cost from the Arrillaga Family Dining Commons. Please return your dishes and silverware to the dining hall.
Students who tested positive prior to today and are currently receiving meal delivery
Your UberEats meal delivery service will end on Day 5, or immediately if it has been more than 5 days since you tested positive.
The CDC guidelines state that all individuals who test positive for COVID-19 mask around others through day 10 of COVID-19. Days 5 to 10 of isolation, we ask that you wear a K95 mask, pick up your meals from your dining hall, and then return to your room or eat outdoors, physically distant from others. K95 masks are available at no cost from the Arrillaga Family Dining Commons. Please return your dishes and silverware to the dining hall.
All students, effective March 27, 2023
Effective March 27, UberEats meal delivery will no longer be available. If you test positive for COVID-19, you will be directed to wear a K95 mask, pick up meals from your dining hall, and then return to your room or eat outdoors, physically distant from others. Please return your dishes and silverware to the dining hall.
General COVID-19 guidance
