Technology training courses offerred online by ITSS

More than 1,000 online technology training courses, including classes in desktop computer skills, web design and software development, are available free to staff, faculty and students with SUNet IDs at http://techport.stanford.edu.

The classes are a training resource offered by Information Technology Systems and Services and can be used alone or as a supplement to ITSS instructor-led classes or individualized training, said Leni Silberman, technology training services manager.

The classes can be accessed only on Windows operating systems, but since licenses are issued to users and not to machines, Macintosh users can access the training courses in campus computer labs or elsewhere, Silberman said.
