Deadline nears for medical and dependent claims

The deadline for submitting claims for medical care or dependent care expenses incurred in 2003 for reimbursement with funds from a 2003 flexible spending account (FSA) is April 30, 2004. The deadline applies to both health care spending accounts and dependent day care spending accounts, including child care subsidy grant funds. If claims for eligible expenses incurred in 2003 are not submitted by April 30, employees will lose any funds remaining in their 2003 FSA. (The deadline does not affect 2004 FSA funds.)
