Volunteers needed

Garlic study. Adults age 30 to 65 with elevated blood cholesterol are needed for a study of the heart health benefits of garlic. The randomized study by the Stanford Prevention Research Center involves taking commercial garlic tablets or placebo for six months and consuming gourmet sandwiches, with or without garlic. The sandwiches need to be picked up biweekly at the medical center.

Eligible participants must not be on medications to control cholesterol or blood pressure. The study includes free heart health testing.
