Genomics covered in ‘frontiers’ series

The Frontiers in Biology lecture series will present a talk today titled “Towards the solution of a eukaryotic cell: Finding functional sequences in the yeast genome.”

University of Washington professor Mark Johnston, PhD, will present the lecture.

Johnson’s talk begins at 4 p.m. in the Clark Center auditorium.

Jointly presented by the departments of biochemistry, developmental biology and genetics, the series focuses on new areas of research with broad biomedical interest. The talk is free and open to the public.

Next Wednesday the series presents “The evolution of segmentation and body patterning” by professor Nipam Patel, PhD, from UC-Berkeley.
