Public lecture covers movement
Capturing the essence of human movement is
critical to many disciplines, each in very different ways, but an
integrated course has never been available before at Stanford until
this quarter’s offering: The Anatomy of Movement.
Conceived of and led by Amy Ladd, MD, professor of orthopedic
surgery, the course provides an understanding of musculoskeletal
function and pathology from a range of perspectives, including that
of anthropologists, artists, computer scientists, physicians and
engineers. The lectures are now open to the public.
Visit http://move.stanford.edu for a
complete schedule or contact Ladd at 723-6796 or
alad@stanford.edu.
The lectures take place at 3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at the
Clark Center (check Web site for room).
