A message of thanks from family of deceased Stanford Report editor

James had always indicated to us that the Stanford community was an unusual one in that mutual support and simple human kindness were viewed as actually helpful in the pursuit of professional excellence. With James’ illness and death, we found that those values, so apparently ingrained at Stanford, were exemplified in more ways than we could possibly name. The people of the Stanford community were a great comfort to us. And they were a great gift to James.
