Dill discusses his concerns about paperless electronic voting machines

Computer Science Professor David Dill expressed serious concerns about the use of paperless electronic voting machines in a lecture delivered at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in Seattle. He warns that, in closely contested elections, recount officials may be unable to determine if a vote was recorded for the wrong candidate if there is no paper record of the original ballot.
