Prospective Stanford students enjoy Admit Weekend on the Farm
The Stanford campus was awash in Cardinal spirit last week when prospective freshmen and their families came to campus for Admit Weekend 2015. The "ProFros," as they are affectionately known, have until May 1 to decide whether they will accept Stanford's offer to join the Class of 2019. They had an opportunity to hear from Harry J. Elam Jr., vice provost for undergraduate education; Richard H. Shaw, dean of admission and financial aid; and university President John Hennessy. In addition to performances by the Stanford Band, Stanford Taiko and others, current students shared highlights of their intellectual journeys at Stanford, including small seminars, university-funded research projects, honors work and overseas studies.
